UXFOSS

UXFOSS began with a simple question. What happens when product designers contribute to FOSS not from the outside with recommendations, but by working closely with maintainers on real product decisions and work that actually ships. What started as a conversation has quietly turned into four projects with four maintainers and two designers.

Sometimes I work directly on a project. Sometimes I connect a maintainer with a designer who feels like the right fit. In both cases, the goal stays the same, focused design contributions that can move a project forward. The work usually takes shape as small, scoped sprints around product flows, interface cleanup, onboarding, information architecture, design systems, documentation, or simply helping make better product decisions together.

There’s no funding, marketplace, or formal program behind UXFOSS. Just people who care about open source, product thinking, and building something better together.

If you’re a maintainer with a product or design challenge, or a designer who cares about FOSS, let’s talk.
