Confession: I picked the book for its cover, and it turned out to be mind-blowing. It’s a series of essays on how the value of art shifted after the printing press and the camera. The idea of “aura” is interesting to sit with, a position he worked out in the ’30s that still sounds solid now. I like how he connects, reads, and presents his observations with real political clarity.
