Reading Tamil has been a long-term goal of mine, and a big part of that journey is the desire to read some of the classics in their original form. After spending time listening to audiobooks like [[Ponniyin Selvan]] and [[Parthiban Kanavu]], I picked up Aram. I had already read its English translation, [[Stories of the True]], and this is pure gold. The stories carry a kind of timeless depth and emotion. There is a sincerity in the storytelling, along with wisdom and emotional honesty, that stays with you long after you finish reading.
