Moka Pot
Moka pot makes an intense, strong coffee. All you need is the Moka pot itself. The idea is simple, but the way it works is fascinating. Water in the bottom chamber heats up and creates pressure, pushing the water up through the coffee grounds and into the top chamber. The result is a rich and concentrated coffee that’s slightly cloudy, with a strong aroma that can fill the whole room. I strongly recommend a Bialetti stovetop Moka pot over other brands and electric ones.
| Coffee | 12g |
| Grind | Fine, like Table-salt |
| Water | 140ml, for a Bialetti 3-cup pot |
| Time | 2-3 minutes |
- Fill the bottom chamber with hot water up to the safety valve, (around 140ml)
- Fill the basket with coffee, level it out gently, and don’t tamp.
- Screw the pot together and put it on medium-low heat.
- Once the coffee starts coming out, turn the heat down.
- Take it off when the stream gets lighter.
- Cool the bottom chamber under cold water, then pour and enjoy. Dilute if needed.
- Just rinse the pot after use. Skip the soap and let those coffee oils stay.
