Hype Doc

If you’re not keeping a record of what you did, you’re relying on memory at the moment when memory is least reliable: during a performance review or a scope conversation. A hype doc is a running note of small wins, shipped things, team contributions, and learning. The format doesn’t matter as much as the habit of adding to it. [[Save screenshots]] feeds the same archive: the value is in accumulation, not organisation.

[[Credit your team]] finds its structural form here. The hype doc is where individual contributions get recorded before they get forgotten, and keeping one for your team is the manager’s version of the same practice. [[Focus on outcome, not output]] stays honest when the doc records actual changes rather than activities.
