AeroPress
AeroPress is a brewing method that combines immersion brewing with pressure. You steep ground coffee in hot water inside the AeroPress, then press the brewed coffee through a paper filter and into your cup. You need an AeroPress or it’s travel friendly version AeroPress Go and a paper filter. Unlike pour-over, the AeroPress allows the coffee to steep before you press it through the filter.
There are many ways to brew with an AeroPress, but the clearest difference is how you position it: standard or inverted. In the standard method, it sits on your cup and the coffee is pressed straight through the filter. In the inverted method, it is turned upside down while the coffee steeps, so it doesn’t drain before you’re ready to press.
