Notes

Evergreen notes should be atomic

One concept per note, not one topic. A topic like design systems can hold infinite content, but [[Design debt as a performance indicator]] is finite and arguable and can be linked precisely where it’s relevant. Atomic notes are easier to link because their scope is clear: you know when they apply and when they don’t. That precision is what makes [[Note titles are APIs for thought]] work in practice rather than just in principle.

Notes that try to hold too much become landfill: everything goes in, nothing comes back out. [[Notes grow in value when written to evolve]] only happens when the note is narrow enough to be meaningfully revised rather than perpetually expanded. [[Making notes is the easiest part]] is what the broad note mistakes for progress: it feels complete because it’s full, not because it’s useful.
