Create to give

Building something for someone else changes how you make decisions. The question shifts from what do I want to build, to what does this person need. That shift is what [[Accessibility is the first rule of functionality]] is grounded in. The preferences of the creator, for certain tools, certain aesthetics, certain approaches, become less relevant when the frame is utility for the person receiving it.

The work should serve their workflow, not display yours. [[Pick your tools that serve purpose]] only makes sense inside this frame, not outside it. [[Solve the problem not the feature]] is asking the same question at the product level: a product built around a specific person’s context tends to be more honest than one built as a demonstration of craft.
